Tis the season for lots of birthdays!! More birthday photos uploaded…

Finally got around to uploading all of the photos from recent birthday parties… Great nights!! Sorry I know some of you have been hounding me to upload these…

Pretty sure I’m excited as hell right now… Last week there was a DAFT PUNK tour announced, their first tour of Australia. And as if their not enough backing them up is The Presets, SebastiAn and Kavinsky and more….

But the reason why I’m excited is on a select couple of mailing lists last night and early this morning there was a ’subscribers only’ pre-sale of tickets announced for 12:00 pm today.. with the official release of tickets next week on the 13th.

So I was there just before 12:00 pm on the Ticket Master site refreshing it like a mad man until they were available… Both myself and my mate got through a snatched up a few tickets each! Moments before the site crashed I might add… and its still down at the moment… along with the ITM website which was also selling them but I don’t think it was ever working!?

Pretty sure this is the first time in my life I’ve ever waited out to buy tickets as soon as they’re released!

Mid night friday night, drove up to the intersection at the Valley five ways.. was sitting at a red light next to a cop car talking on the phone… Was heading home from clubbing…

Distracted by the phone conversation I was having I ran the red light…. I can only assume I noticed some other direction got their green… Realised I ran it when I was half way through the intersection cause there were pedestrians crossing in front of me!!

Strangely enough the cop chose not to follow? Despite the hour of night.. and that I could have (or might have) been some blind drunk driver…unbelievable!!

Apparently all my good deeds haven’t gone unrewarded.. Hehe

Okay guys and girls, its that time of the year again.. Yet another birthday for me! Start putting your thinking caps on. This years party is fancy dress.. the theme is FAMOUS!!

Somethings just aren’t meant to make sense… One recent example came from the influence of alcohol and boredom.. Can you do a handstand while holding a golf ball with your feet and recite the alphabet backwards? Turns out I can’t but it was worth a try.. HAHAHA!

Okay so if you’ve heard the news today you know of the tidal wave warnings! From the reports I’ve heard so far it wasn’t too bad compared to boxing day 2005…Freaky thing is just 2 day prior on Saturday I had a dream about a huge tidal wave hitting the coast. What makes it really bizarre is I don’t normally remember my dreams, like ever!

I was with my ex-girlfriend in some cafe on top of a cliff on the coast. Then we went outside to look at the view… Bizarrely enough there were snow covered mountains inland from the cliff we were on, which overlooked the sea. I was taking photos of the snow cover mountains when we saw something misty just fly up over the mountains and run down the other side and it was slowly happening to them all starting from the north…

I then looked out to sea and noticed the huge wave at least 20 storeys in height which was as tall as the cliff we were on! I told her to run back to the cafe… We got inside and I got her to hug a big cement pole/pillar then standing behind her I did the same pulling her in tighter to the pole to shield her… We were facing towards the wave but protected hopefully by the pole.. Then I can remember seeing the wave smash through the windows that looked out to the ocean…

And then I woke up!

Wallowing in the shadow of a past life, as a future I’d imagined crumbles down around me. The world seems less familiar, less hospitable, less bearable without her. A dull pain slowly seeps through my veins all too familiar and gnawing at my core. I thought I was tougher than this, that everything could be blocked out, that things wouldn’t affect me, that experience would make life easier…

Memories once the bearer of silent smile and an inner warmth that made life a better place, now serve only as a reminder of my loss. Such empathy she had, which healed those upsetting moments so swiftly, with just a few silly words and a cheeky grin, keeping my world in balance and bringing meaning back to life. Reading me like a book when sometimes even I lack my own clarity to understand. A smile that could brighten any face, and a figure that could make any eyes wander in its direction.

Such excitement and passion for life that one can’t help but get involved and easily get lost in her moment. With a rare playful personality too perfect for mere words which couldn’t do it justice. Once lavished with such cherished attention and complete acceptance it would only be found in a film. Or just curled up on my lap asleep watched closely with a gaze of admiration wondering how I was so lucky to ever make it here.

She was and meant all these things to me, but little did she know… but likely neither I until now, when it seems so long ago…

We were staying at Coolangatta on the weekend and were down at the pool… And here was this lizard camped edge of the pool in one corner just a few centimetres from the water… I was in the pool tormenting it splashing it from and stuff… as you do… a little while later, after I’d given up, it dived in the pool!!!

I decided to jump out promptly at this point.. just cause I was getting a bit cold, you know ;)

But anyway… The lizard swims through the water over to the pools skimmer box and goes in! Turns out this guy has it made… He lays by the pool all day soaking up some rays, and occasionally goes for a dip and in to the skimmer box to grab all the insects it’s caught!
