After less than an hours rain on Saturday night Bangkok was flooded.. literally! The street were full of water up half way up your shins! We stepped straight out of a shopping centre to find this sight… So we ended up catching the BTS (inner city mono rail) back to near where we were staying but it was still a 3min walk to the hotel.

By this stage it had stopped raining but the streets were still under water. The foot paths weren’t submerged though, but crossing our first side street was a troubling mission! The water flowing through the streets was obviously part sewerage.. I don’t no what part but even the littlest is too much!! Hehe.

I took my shoes off cause I only brought the one pair, Philpa left her heels on and jane left her converse on as well… It was pretty gross to think about but was funny as hell watching the girls manage!

Needless to say we didn’t end up going clubbing that night… Why bother getting ready when you might have to tred through sewerage! Hehe.. I’m sure we could’ve caught a cab but it was a nice quiet night.

I’ll upload some photos soon! We’ve flown to Patong (Phuket), and fly out again to Koh Samui on Friday night, and the following Friday we fly back to bangkok for one last weekend before flying home Sunday night (20th)…
