Scanning through Google news I came across an article “On Celebrating Darwin” which began with “This year we have an important double anniversary of Charles Darwin: the 200th anniversary of his birth, and the 150th anniversary of his classic work…”
I continued reading only to next minute realise Charles Darwin is being compared to Hitler.. then it goes on to attempt to draw links between darwinism and abortion, infanticide, and euthanasia… I’m appauled, then realise I’m reading “Christian Today”…
Nice work celebrating the guys birthday, by writing slandereous propaganda!
Even worse though, having the nerve to pretense the entire article with “Celebrating Darwin” only taint the man and his work… The author begins the article with notable attempts at sounding unbiased, until the next four pages of the article drag the mans reputation through the dirt without reference to popular opposing views.
The author then continues by drawing loose connections to the unsavoury opinions and actions of other individuals (i.e. Hilter) as though these were the direct influcence of and results of Darwins scientic theory… all easily refutable arguements a primary student (perhaps a free thinking child who hasn’t been choking on the force fed ideals of intelligent design) could tackle!
GOD created man in his image such is the religious and non-scientic theory of “intelligent design”.. With a world full of rapists, peadophiles and murders at the extreme with just plain rude, inconsiderate and self absorbed individuals towards the other end… I’d be just as apprehensive in walking down a dark alley as I would meeting my maker..
Lets get one thing straight religion has no place in science and vica versa…
To BDO or not to BDO that is the question:
Weather should be fine without a cloud to suffer
And surely one will hear so many outrageous tunes,
Or to take a stand and stay home in Brisbane,
And by staying, save money? To save: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say one might save
These earnings of ours, often spent so frivolously
On such debauchery and intoxicants.. consummations
Devoutly to be wish’d. To save, to sleep;
Ahh to sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there’s the rub;
For in that sleep of silence what music will come
With no Big Day Out memories ones mind may rewind,
Play and even pause….
But seriously… I can’t decided whether I should go to Big Day Out this weekend or not…
Bahahaha.. Could u imagine havin done this when u were in school?! Haha.. How embarrassed would u feel… Or maybe ’Lizzy’ was just being sarcastic talking about a “Sex on the Beach” cocktail.. lol
Recently Google started scanning A LOT of magazines, this is in addition to all of the books they’ve already been scanning in to Google Book Search… Yes for those who didn’t know Google wants to index the offline world as well, not just the online world… Anyway I was excited to see that all the old Mens Health magazines have been scanned so you can read them all online… Enjoy…

The Australian Government wants to filter what you can access online… Sounds reasonable at a high level given what they want to filter! However not all information online is black and white, and once the filter is in place there’s little stopping the scope of what is blocked… SIGN THE PETITION NOW…
To set the scene I decided to go for a run last night hoping I’d out run the massive storm predicted for 7:00pm.. That storm didn’t hit until after mid night! So tonight being cocky, I figured I’d go for a run again despite seeing a storm spreading the length of the horizon… Big mistake…
Started out all well and good until about 4klm the storm had crept up and it started spitting, when these were taken from the story bridge:

Moments after this its start pouring so I keep running until I finally made it to the Marriott Hotel, was huddled in the corner for a few moments when the winds started and blew two signs which were deflected but then it pick up this massive door mat and hit me in the face! Haha..

First photo is the door mat in the garden behind me, the second the is the size of the door mat after things had calmed down and it was back where it belonged! After things calmed down I started to run off again which is when the hail hit so I had to run back.. haha!

Anyway eventually made it back to southbank and to car and was saturated… made the most of the distance and still ran all the way! Must have looked like I’d lost it going out for a run despite the weather! The water cushioned socks felt great though.. Haha..
Here is a funny email a mate sent me about his recent trip past the recently burnt down Victory Hotel in Brisbane:
I just went for a walk through the city and went past the burnt out shell of the ‘iconic’ Vic.
There were police cars outside with police milling about and crowds of men wearing fluoro. I had a peak inside (couldn’t resist) but couldn’t really see much, It looked like a black pit in there. The smell coming off the place was terrible too, like a hundred burning tires in an open sewer.
I walked off a little bit, turned around and thought….
“So what’s changed?”
